Burgundy Hammond

Sparked by a passion for justice and a genuine love for people, Burgundy knew her life’s purpose would not be fulfilled unless she joined the crusade against injustices for all. Today, Burgundy zealously represents clients who have been severely injured in motor vehicle accidents and have entrusted her to fight for them.

Burgundy is a proud native of Alexandria, Louisiana, the same city that continuously reaffirms her belief in the adage that “it takes a village to raise a child.” Burgundy attributes her success to the overwhelming support that she has received from her family, friends, and fellow Warhorses, in her beloved hometown.

As a true Gramblinite, Burgundy’s heart bleeds black and gold because Grambling State University is the institution that provided the pivotal foundation for her career aspirations. She is also a proud graduate of Southern University Law Center, which quickly catapulted her into manifestation of her dreams of becoming a skilled litigator. Burgundy is also a bestselling author, The HBCU Experience Grambling State University Edition.

Burgundy is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., the Baton Rouge Bar Association, Family Section of the BRBA, Louisiana State Bar Association, and the Young Lawyer Division of the LSBA. She currently serves as the West Baton Rouge Bar Association Treasurer. In 2020, Burgundy began her family law practice which allows her the privilege of resolving delicate family matters. When she is not vigorously advocating for her clients, Burgundy enjoys quality time and traveling the world with her husband and their beloved daughter.
